Undergraduate Academic Scholarship Competition

The Undergraduate Academic Scholarship Competition recognizes and rewards students for superior academic achievement during their previous academic year at the University of Alberta.

Academic standing is the primary selection criterion for awards in this competition. Secondary criteria that may be considered include financial need and extracurricular activities.

Approximately 300 awards are available ranging in value from $500 to $3,000.

Deadline - October 30, 2009

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have superior academic achievement on a full normal course load taken at the University of Alberta during the academic year, September to April.
  • Candidates enrolled in less than a full normal course load may apply by the appropriate deadline when they have accumulated the equivalent of a full normal course load.
  • Candidates must be continuing in an undergraduate or professional program at the University of Alberta.
  • IB and transfer credits are not applicable.

Getting results

All applicants will be notified of results in January 2010 through ualberta webmail. To receive the full value of any scholarship in this competition, a student must be enrolled full time.
