For Grade 12 applicants from Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Yukon, the Ministry of Education has sent final Grade 12 transcripts at the end of July.
In order to ensure accuracy, the evaluation of these documents is done manually by an Admissions Advisor and can take several weeks. If you would like to confirm that your transcript has been received, you can view this on Bear Tracks under "Application Status". If all required documents have been received, the "Application Status" will show up as "complete".
Once an application evaluation has been finished, your application status will be updated on Bear Tracks. We appreciate your patience and ask that you continue to check Bear Tracks and your UAlberta email for updates, and to ensure you have submitted all other required documents on your To Do List, by the specified deadline.
Notice: The opening application date for post-secondary transfer students is October 1, 2019*.
*This does not apply to the faculties of Medicine & Dentistry and Law, which are currently accepting applications.
Our current email response time is approximately 3-5 business days. However, we are not able to respond to inquiries regarding the status of your application or documents you may have submitted. Please continue to check your Bear Tracks and University of Alberta email for updates.
Please note our Admissions unit is only open for phone inquiries between 1:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. MST (Monday to Friday).
If you submitted your application more than 8 weeks ago with all of the required documents for evaluation but haven’t yet received an update to your application status, you can contact Student Connect at 780-492-3113 or toll-free at 1-855-492-3113 to speak with an advisor. Advisors will only be able to provide application updates over the phone if the above criteria have been met.
