If you require proof of registration to access RESP funds, please request an official Enrollment Verification document and send it to your RESP provider. RESP companies accept this document as an official confirmation of your registration, and there is no requirement to fill out the form.

Verification of Enrollment documents will be available in Bear Tracks (to be fulfilled by MyCreds) 31 days before the start of the applicable term, and will remain available for 120 days after the term ends.

To request your Enrollment Verification Form

• Log in to BearTracks.
• Select “Academic Records”.
• Click on "Verification Documents” from the menu on the left hand side.
• Select “Enrollment Verification” from the Document Type field.
• Select one of the following three options: Enrollment Verification, Enrollment Verification Including Courses, or Enrollment Verification Including Courses and Grades. Please note that asterisks will show in lieu of letter grades if you request the Courses and Grades option before all grades are posted.
• Submit your request. Note that this step is free of charge - you will only be required to pay a fee to view and share your document when it becomes available in the MyCreds system.
• Within an hour, you will receive an email instructing you to log into MyCreds to access your official eDocument. Our process does not run on Saturdays - requests submitted on Saturday will be fulfilled on Sunday.
• To view and subsequently share your Verification of Enrollment certificate, you will be prompted to pay an access fee of $10 CAD (plus applicable taxes). This fee gives you unlimited viewing and sharing access for a period of 30 days.
• We recommend that you register for courses for both the fall and winter semesters prior to generating this document, so it will show your enrollment for the full academic year.

According to the Government of Canada website, they will accept an Enrollment Verification document that can be downloaded from your BearTracks account, instead of requesting the Declaration of Attendance at School or University form to be filled out. If you require this document to be filled out for previous academic years, please submit them under the "Other" category, along with information about which academic year(s) you need it filled out for.

Have you tried confirming your enrollment online?

If you have both Canada and Alberta student loans, you can create an account with the National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) and confirm your full-time enrollment status with both the federal and provincial loan providers through their online portal.

How to create an NSLSC login:

1. Go to the NSLSC website
2. Choose your prefered language, if prompted
3. Click on “Login to your NSLSC Account”
4. Follow the prompts to register for your NSLSC account

To confirm your enrollment:

1. Login to your NSLSC account (see instructions above)
2. Click on “My Account” on the right hand side of the screen
3. Click on “Confirmation of Enrolment”
4. Click on Submit your Confirmation of Enrolment at the bottom of the screen
5. Fill in the required fields
6. Click Submit
7. You will receive a message that your Confirmation of Enrolment was successfully submitted
8. Your confirmation of enrollment should be completed within a week of submitting this form
9. It is very important that you visit your Alberta MyLoan and NSLSC portals approximately one week after you submit to ensure it has been received and processed properly. If there are any mistakes or issues with the submission of the online form it may mean your student loans will enter repayment even if you are a full-time student.

Once your Form B is completed, we will submit it to Alberta Student Aid on your behalf. Please note that due to the volume of forms Alberta Student Aid is receiving and processing, there may be a delay in the processing of your form. In order to ensure that your account is in interest-free status, we highly encourage you to also submit this form to Student Aid Alberta yourself directly as well, either via mail or fax (the contact information is on the first page of the form).

We strongly recommend contacting Alberta Student Aid directly in about two-three weeks to ensure that your form has been received and processed. It is very important to ensure that this form has been properly received and processed. If there are any errors in processing this document your student loans may enter repayment.
