Conditions: Awarded biennially in even-numbered years on the basis of superior academic achievement to a student entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Alberta. The recipient will be selected on the basis of their admission average.

Funded by: Endowed by friends and family of Elinor Bentley in her memory. Mrs Bentley was a dedicated volunteer of the Faculty of Arts. As the University's Alumni Association Arts representative, Elinor coordinated Arts alumni events across Canada to celebrate 'BA Power'. Her hard work and enthusiasm will continue to be celebrated through this award.

Field of Study: Engineering

Conditions: To be awarded annually to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with satisfactory academic standing, who is planning to enroll, for the first time, in a program of full-time studies leading to a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (any discipline) at the University of Alberta. Recipient must be entering either the common first-year engineering program, or one of the second-year engineering specialization programs at the University of Alberta. Recipient will be selected on the basis of a demonstrated financial need. Recipients will be selected on the basis of their admission average. Preference will be given to students from outside the Edmonton area who must relocate to attend university.

Macey Vankosky Scholarship in Fine Arts

Field of Study: Fine Arts

Conditions: Awarded to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts (Bachelor of Arts with a major in Fine Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, or Bachelor of Design). Selection based on admission average with primary preference given to a student from Grand Trunk High School and secondary preference given to a student from Mayerthorpe High School. If no recipient is found from these high schools, preference will be given to a student from rural Alberta.
