Conditions: To be awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement who has completed one full year of studies in a BCom program after a first degree. Recipient will chosen on the basis of academic standing.

Harold B Banister Dean's Undergraduate Citation in Business (Renewable)

Field of Study: Business

Conditions: Awarded to a continuing or transferring undergraduate student entering the first year (after completion of the preprofessional year) of an undergraduate degree program in the School of Business at the University of Alberta. Recipients will be selected on the basis of superior academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.8 or equivalent) on courses taken during the preprofessional year at the University of Alberta. Preference is given to Alberta residents. Renewal of funding is contingent upon achieving a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load in the School of Business each year.

Peter F Bronfman Scholarship in Entrepreneurship (Renewable)

Field of Study: Business

Conditions: Awarded to students with superior academic achievement entering the second year (after the pre-professional year) of a Bachelor of Commerce in the Alberta School of Business. Selection based on demonstrated leadership in extracurricular and community activities, and academic standing. Preference given to students who have demonstrated entrepreneurial initiative through active involvement in Junior Achievement or through other employment or community service. Receipt of funding for the third, and fourth years is contingent upon a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load and continuation in the Alberta School of Business.

Recipient must have completed 30 credits in the year prior to receiving this scholarship.

Conditions: To be awarded annually to a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident with satisfactory academic standing of at least 3.0 on 30 credits taken during the previous academic year or as approved by Business Council for students in the Business Co-operative Education Program, entering the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree program in the School of Business, majoring in Marketing with a demonstrated interest in Distribution Management or be majoring in Operations Management with a demonstrated interest in Marketing. Recipients will be selected on the basis of demonstrated leadership qualities through involvement in extracurricular and community activities. Conditions: Awarded annually to a student with superior academic achievement entering the first year of an undergraduate degree program at the University of Alberta with the intent of being admitted to the University of Alberta School of Business, Bachelor of Commerce degree program the following year. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of leadership qualities as demonstrated by involvement in extracurricular and community activities, and on Admission average. Preference is given to students who have demonstrated entrepreneurial initiative through active involvement in Junior Achievement or through other employment or community service. Receipt of funding for the second, third, and fourth years is contingent upon a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a full normal course load and admission to the School of Business. If a suitable candidate is not found, no award will be given.

Conditions: Awarded to a student entering the Bachelor of Commerce program in the Alberta School of Business with a minimum GPA of 3.0, after the completion of the pre-professional year at the University of Alberta who has previously received the Alberta Guaranteed Admission. Selection based on academic standing. Preference given to a student who has demonstrated leadership through involvement in extracurricular activities, volunteering, participation in charities or broader community services.

Susie Thistlethwaite Memorial Scholarship

Field of Study: Business

Conditions: To be awarded annually to a student with superior academic standing entering the second, third or fourth year (fifth for co-op students) in the School of Business. Recipients will be selected on the basis of academic standing with preference given to those in financial need.

Westbury Family Award in Philanthropy

Field of Study: Business

Conditions: Awarded to students with satisfactory academic standing entering the third or fourth year of a Bachelor of Commerce. Selection based on demonstrated interest in community building through philanthropic means as shown through academic or extracurricular activities in community service learning, charitable fundraising, volunteer work or similar activities. Preference given to students who demonstrate an interest in entering the nonprofit sector upon graduation.

Selection based on coursework completed in research or marketing, demonstrated leadership through involvement in extracurricular activities, volunteering, participation in charities or broader community services, and academic standing. Preference given to a student who demonstrates creativity in coursework or extracurricular activity.

Preference may be given to students with a demonstrated financial need.
