Field of Study: Music

Conditions: Awarded annually to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in a degree program in the Faculty of Arts specializing in Music. Student will be selected on the basis of financial need.

Field of Study: Arts

Conditions: To be awarded annually to undergraduate or graduate students with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the third year of studies in any degree program in the Faculty of Arts. Recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to single parents and low-income families.

Field of Study: Music

Conditions: Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in Music. Selection based on demonstrated financial need. Preference given to a student enrolled in Performance, majoring in Voice.

Daniel G Dancocks Memorial Bursary

Field of Study: Faculty of Arts

Conditions: Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts.  Selection based on demonstrated financial need.  Preference given to a student majoring in History.

Field of Study: Arts

Conditions: Awarded to student(s) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts, the Department of Music, Women's and Gender Studies or English and Film Studies (with a focus on Creative Writing). Selection based on demonstrated financial need.

Hawrelak Family Bursary In Economics

Field of Study: Economics

Conditions: To be awarded annually to a Canadian citizen or Permanent resident with an academic standing of at least 3.0 preferably entering the fourth and final year of studies in a Bachelor of Arts degree program majoring in Economics. In the event a fourth year student is not available, a third year student may be considered. Recipient will be selected on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to an Economics student who can demonstrate involvement in community and/or extra-curricular activities.

Field of Study: Music Performance

Conditions: To be awarded annually to a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident with an academic standing of at least 3.0 preferably entering the fourth and final year of study in the Bachelor of Music degree program majoring in violin performance in the Faculty of Arts. In the event a fourth year student is not available, a third year student may be considered. Recipient will be selected on the basis of financial need. Preference will be given to a student of violin/or a music student who can demonstrate involvement in community and/or extra-curricular activities.

Scotiabank Bursaries

Field of Study: All disciplines in Arts

Conditions: Awarded to students in the first, second, third, or fourth year of an undergraduate degree program in the Faculty of Arts. Recipients will be chosen on the basis of financial need, with some consideration given to academic standing, and must have carried a minimum of nine units of course weight per term. Candidates who are first-year students must have a high school average of at least 80%. Other candidates, including transfer students, must have a grade point average of at least 3.0.

Field of Study: Music

Conditions: Awarded to a student with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in any year of an undergraduate degree in the Bachelor of Music program in the Faculty of Arts. Patrick Spelliscy Memorial Bursary In Arts

Field of Study: Arts

Conditions: Awarded annually to a student registered in the third year of a degree program in the Faculty of Arts. Selection will be based on financial need.

Funded by: Endowed by the Hal Spelliscy Family in memory of Patrick Spelliscy who was a student at both the University of Alberta and the University of Laval. His major was English. He was a strong debater and did a considerable amount of acting with the Walterdale group.

Marlene and David Stratton Bursary in Arts

Field of Study: Arts

Conditions: Awarded to student(s) with satisfactory academic standing enrolled in the first year of an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Arts. Selection based on demonstrated financial need. Preference given to student(s) who recently graduated from an Alberta High School.

Gerald Webber Peace Hills Trust Bursary

Field of Study: Arts

Conditions: Awarded to students who are of Aboriginal descent as defined by the Constitution Act, 1982, section 35(2) or to persons who are accepted by one of the Aboriginal peoples of Canada as a member of their community. Applicants must have satisfactory academic standing and be enrolled in the second , third, or fourth year of a Faculty of Arts degree program. Recipients will be selected on the basis of financial need.
