Dentistry

The following scholarships are part of the Faculty/Department Scholarship Competition.

Alberta Dental Association and College Gold Medal

Field of Study: Dentistry

Conditions: Awarded to a student with a GPA of 3.5 or greater who is convocating with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Selection based on academic standing.

Application/Nomination Procedure: By nomination from the Department of Dentistry

Arthur D Cumming Medal

Field of Study: Dentistry for children

Conditions: Awarded annually to a convocating student in Dentistry for outstanding merit in dentistry for children, provided that at least 3.3 average is attained in the final year.

Application/Nomination Procedure: By nomination from the Department of Dentistry

James McCutcheon Honor Award

Field of Study: Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry - Dentistry

Conditions: Awarded annually to a student completing the final year of the DDS program who, over the four years of the program, has demonstrated outstanding qualities of scholarship, leadership, and character and who is expected to occupy a distinguished position in the dental profession. Recipients of the Dental Alumni Association Prize or the the Dental Alumni Association Scholarship are ineligible for this award.
